ABOUT US

Just as the traditional Thai culture is an alloy of Buddhist, Hindu and animist traditions interwoven with the vibrant local folklore, our household is eclectic in its design, decor and ambience, for we believe in the fusion of cultures, styles and vibes as much as we believe in the synthesis of a simple rustic life and unaffected sophistication. We are located in the village of Baan Prannoy (which roughly translates as Minor Spire House) near the town of Chokchai, some 30 km south-east of Nakhon Ratchasima, the provincial capital city. 
Baan Prannoy is a typical Thai village, where farming is being gradually replaced by other occupations. The villagers still tend to their rice fields and graze their cattle, but every year less and less so, for their  income is increasingly sourced elsewhere, in non-agricultural sectors. The traditional rural mindset is still there, but the centuries-old economy behind it is being phased out. In our village the locals are busy going about their lives. There aren`t any tourists in the area. The way of life here is authentic and unpretentiously traditional. You will find the village fascinating and instantly enchanting with its quaint "otherness", but at the same time it isn`t a place you would refer to as 'old fashioned'.  In short, this is  the real Thailand, as lived by the real Thais, away from the touristy parts of the country.
